The Luv Bugs are more than just characters. Here's the story of the vision, the values and the person behind the universe.
It started more than 25 years ago with four paintings. Love Bug, Rich Bug, Candy Bug and Happy Bug. Painted out of joy, for joy. They made me happy, and they made my family and friends happy too.
Today they're back. And they have company. The Luv Bugs world now also includes Tease Bug and Dance Bug, with more on the way. Each one with its own superpower. Each one with its own weakness. And all of them with one thing in common: behind every bit of mischief, there's a child.
The Luv Bugs are built to last. As a podcast. As picture books. On YouTube. On stage one day. In more languages.
The Swedish version, Bacillerna, comes first. The international version, Luv Bugs Collection, is being built up in parallel. The goal is simple to say and big to do: to make the Luv Bugs one of the most beloved children's brands in the Nordics. And, in time, the world.
Behind the Luv Bugs is Leila El Harfaoui, the creator who has built the universe from the ground up. Using digital tools as her studio, she writes, designs and produces the entire brand: from stories and picture books to animation and podcast.
